Great food, great for groups, and great for functions. The lunch box is the best bet for lunches. Dinner selections are on point with the area as far as pricing and quality. They're yet to screw up complex orders for large groups. I regularly ordered for 10+ people and had no issues.

The location of this restaurant is AMAZING! The view is simply serene :) First we were concerned we weren't dressed up enough (four of us in total - two kids and two adults - dressed casually). Once settled in, we felt right in place and confident our attire was fine. We were not sure what to expect price wise, but when we reviewed the menus, it appeared fairly reasonable (a bit pricey, but if the food was real good, a fair price). The food.... Well that was all and all pretty good. True, my onion soup was a little cold (but had lots of yummy melted cheese on top so I let it pass) and my wife's soup was just so so. The appetizers and meals were fine. Acceptable. Nothing stood out and none of us said "oh my goodness, I must have this again". So all and all, it was fine. Might go back, might not. The cost vs. taste of the meals is a bit out of whack. Should also note: Slow service, but it being the only time we've been, that may have just been a busy time for our server.

Not so much - a very bad dining experience. Limited menu selection and simply bad. Will not come back.

For a special day, we have found the Borrell Creek Landing to be the nicest place to go when we are visiting in the Saint Marys GA area. The location is interesting and we found the food to be pleasant. No, it does not measure up to the best in a major U.S. city, but it does not cost as much either. I only give 4 stars because I reserve 5 stars for the best 10 restaurants in the country when I find them.

Restaurant is OK but a little pricey for the quality. They set up with an attempt to come off as an elegant restaurant but in my opinion, would be better served with a more casual setting that is more consistent with the level of food preparation I saw. The back deck was a nice venue for a small group to unwind but definitely had the divey local ambience;perfect for some regulars we enjoyed the company with today, The view was excellent over the waterway and wetland as the sun was setting. Admittedly if you are sensitive to the heat, you'll find the back deck less enjoyable. The drinks were ok. Beer taps were just installed (reinstalled) but limited to 4 choices - Michelob, Bud, Shark bite, and a white wheat ale (cant recall the name). We also had a shared assortment of wings and chips. The hot wings were average. The teriyaki option were slathered in what tasted to be off the shelf sauce. The third option was an interesting twist. The light breading was reminiscent of mom's chicken but had the added tart lemony bite.

Ordered tempura shrimp and white wine mussels. Both were amazing. The shrimp were large and fresh and came with great flavored dipping sauce. The mussels were large cooked perfect and dressed with garlic, lemon, garlic bread and plenty delicious broth. Will definately come back new menu is delicious.

I won't ever be back here. They are in no way "fine dining" nor should they charge their customers like they are. I ordered shrimp ala vodka (same with my MIL). The shrimp tasted like overcooked frozen shrimp. The sauce tasted like it came from a can. My husband has the fish of the day which was really bland and kind of gross. My father-in-law ordered their "perfectly seasoned steak" and was unimpressed. We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Friday night at about 6pm. That should have been a hint to go somewhere else. We won't ever be back. I can cook at home for cheaper and be way more satisfied.

Always drive by and it looks closed, so today we went to see and it was open. Got their and the server was nice and polite. I got the crab bisque and it tasted like can soup, my husband got onion soup and it was served cold. Ordered the seafood combo and it had no flavor but the fries were good. Serve slowed down and was so not impressed and will not come here again :(

I have never felt so blessed to have spotted this weathered gem from the highway. They serve every beer imaginable, just as the server claimed (except blue moon). Gator tidbits were tender and flavorsome and served, quite innovatively, with marmalade; onion petals crisped to perfection. The best place in st. Mary's to feed dinner rolls to a sizeable alligator while chowing down on his crispy cousin while live acoustic performance takes you on a carefully curated nostalgic journey through the past. Can't wait to come back and order the tuna tacos.

We found Borell's because we had a $40 gift certificate from our hotel. Hotel discounts to food places don't always pan out but this was an exception plus we figured this would cover a meal or two. I was a little concerned when we arrived that there was only one other person eating here and only three other tables filled while we were there. Maybe it would fill up more later? By the end we did not care because we enjoyed our meal. I should have taken pictures of our food but it was presented well and tasted very good. We appreciated and were pleased with the servers food suggestions. The grilled fish could have been "grilled" better but at least it was not overcooked. What we all liked most was that the food was not overly seasoned. We don't like really salty food from a lot of seafood places. Everyone in the party was very pleased. The kids size fish and chips were a very good size portion with nicely prepared flounder. The grilled pangasius with blanc beurre (white cream) was a good choice. The vegetables were a little buttery but not overcooked. My sister in law had the pretzel encrusted salmon. It was a huge piece of salmon and also cooked just right. The chicken Marsala was OK but not great but most of it disappeared from the plate. We were treated very well and the service was above normal and friendly. It was pricey but we did have some adult beverages and appetizers. We paid what we expected for what we consumed. Overall, I would like to try the other seafood places in St. Mary's but I would definitely come back to Borrell's.

Great views of the marsh. Slightly pricy and not all always worth it. Menu and decor has not changed for years.

Worst dining experience ever!!!! Mahi Mahi was overcooked, wings were fried too long, the waitress was inexperienced, but did her best to accommodate us. We arrived at 7:15pm, but Happy hour ended at 7, and we asked if we could still receive the Happy hour rate, & was told no. Two of us ordered the All You Can Eat wings & the other two ordered regular entrees. The two who ordered regular entrees tried a couple of the wings, & was told by the waitress that they would be charged if they ate anymore. When we got our bills the two who sampled the wings were charged $5 each for the wings. We discussed this with the manager & he refused to take the charge off of their bills. By the way, the AYCE wings cost $8.99!!!! Please avoid this restaurant at all cost!!!

This is the best restaurant in all of St. Marys. The food is incredibly well done -- make sure you order the alligator appetizer! The location is great and is right in town, right on the marsh so that you can actually see gators in the water. The alcohol list is expansive and the wine and scotch is fantastic. Dress well, because this is the perfect place for a nice dinner date or for a business lunch meeting.

The complete package for a great restaurant: excellent food, beautiful location, personable service, and reasonable prices. Located in front of a marsh, the restaurant offers natural surroundings that comforts the guests upon arrival. Once seated, we were greeted with a magnificent sunset right before our window seat. The staff was superb throughout. They were friendly, and knew their menu. No upselling, and just sincere recommendations of the menu. The managers were attentive, and were obviously well liked by the regulars. But we came for the food, and they didn't disappoint us. Started with two appetizers: alligators tidbits and pan-seared scallops. Both delightful. The gator meat tasted like chicken, just as the waitress described, but without the fat. The scallops tasted fresh, and was perfectly seared (ie not burnt). Had the surf and turf for entree. The ribeye steak was juicy and very tender, even at medium. At 12 oz, it was substantial. Coupled with the lobster with butter, the meal was satisfying. Finished with the blueberry cobbler. Not too sweet at all, and the cobbler part was just warm enough to bring out the taste of the blueberries. And of course, the vanilla ice cream on top blended nicely into the hearty dessert. Great place for special events too with 300+ seats. Whatever your occasion, this place rocks!

would never go back. had to ARGUE with the manager when they overcharged us. $4 for a beer ? Dried our overcooked fish and mediocre wings. There are plenty of much better places to eat in the area... dont waste your money.
